Total Fence is wholly owned and operated by Bytown Lumber – a locally owned and operated business that has served Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec since 1898. Our name captures what we’re all about:

Total Expertise

Our full-time qualified staff are fully certified and equipped with the most modern and safe equipment to ensure that we deliver our products and services in a timely and efficient manner without compromise.

Total Service

We deliver excellent service. It’s what sets us apart, and it’s allowed us to be great at what we do for more than a century.

Total Price Competitiveness

As a member of the Independent Lumber Dealers Cooperative (ILDC), we benefit from the combined buying power of the largest independent building materials companies in Canada with combined sales of over 4.3 billion dollars. This association guarantees you the most competitive pricing.

Total Supply

We are one of the few companies in Ottawa and the extended region that offers fences and accessory products and services under one roof.

Total Design and Construction Expertise for Commercial Projects

Our specialty is supplying and constructing commercial fences for the largest projects and contracting firms. Indeed our history spans some of the most impressive commercial projects along the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal corridor.

We use Professional Tools to Get it Right

We own and operate our own quality machinery including concrete trucks, post-hole diggers, a custom fabrication facility, and a variety of specialty equipment to ensure the commercial projects we undertake are done right and on time.

We Are Experienced

All of our staff have several decades of experience in the fence and security, and the necessary training and certifications to do the job once, and do it right.

We Can help With Your D-I-Y Projects

We can supply you with fence materials at very competitive prices. We’ll also gladly give you our views and suggestions if you’re considering doing parts of the project yourself by detailing the level of complexity and knowledge required for each project component.
